Archoelogical site Havranok takes you back into Celtic era to learm more about our history.

Liptovská Mara was an important location in prehistoric times. Archaeological research done before the construction of water damm revealed its role in the early Middle Ages and finds from the Early Bronze Age fort settlement of Roman times and a settlement of the Great Moravian era. Above the dam of Liptovská Mara, 2 km south of the village of Bobrovník, at the eastern foot of the hill Úložisko is located the archaeological site Havránok - the Celtic fort settlement with the Druid sanctuary from the 1st century BC. There is also a museum in the nature, where you can see a complex of reconstructed buildings from the Iron Age. Middle Ages is represented by wooden fort with a bridge, guard tower and bases of buildings of 15th century. Nearby the port there is original tower of catholic Church of Virgin Mary from 13th century. Havránok is the scene of regular cultural events from spring to autumn, which got reputation among public. Directly in the archaeological site, Celtic rituals - the common life of the Celts, sacrifice, pottery, leather processing are taking place.
